Book tickets and passes →The regular closing day is Tuesday. From Monday 7 December 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027 the museum is open every day, so the Tuesdays in that period are open: 8, 15, 22 and 29 December and 5 January. On Thursday 24 December it is closed, and on Thursday 31 December it closes at 17:00. From 11 January 2027 it closes on Tuesdays again.
The website says both that the museum is closed on Tuesdays and that it is open on public holidays. For a public holiday that falls on a Tuesday outside the Christmas period, such as 26 October 2027, we could not confirm which rule applies, so check before you go. The official site also publishes no 2027 timetable beyond the Christmas period.
The official FAQ says a visit takes about 2 to 3 hours. The museum has no time slots, and online tickets are valid for the day you choose.
Lockers and a cloakroom are available for all visitors. Photos without flash are allowed for private use in the collection; in temporary exhibitions it depends on the exhibition.
